Hi, I have 2 router in a lab (2501 and 2611). Each console port is connected to the AUX of the other router. This way, if I have 1 router down, I can access his console port by telneting the other router on the AUX port.

What I would like to know, is a what port do I have to make the telnet.

telnet x.x.x.x xxxx

I know that for async port, it is 20xx (where xx is the port number).

When I type show line: I see that my AUX port is 65, but I can't do telnet x.x.x.x 2065.

Thank for your help.

You are telnetting to the correct port. In the line aux0 config, do you have the command "transport input telnet"
