Yes you can but not with telnet.
Assuming it is on a network connection, you would use
an "X" host from the remote machine which would start an "X" client on the server. (host and client are backwards when you are talking X). you will generally need additional software on the remote machine if it is not a linux system (ie windoze). all processing will happen on the server machine so be sure you have enough resources available (memory, processor, etc).
