I am a designer trying my best to use a tell target string/expression for a set buttons that each connect to a relative Movie Clip, only I have made no inroads.
the reason I am doing it this way is to reduce the amount of frames within a timeline? I am trying to under stand some descriptions of how to do this and they state that an instance label is needed, but where? in the main scene or the Movie Clips timeline?
I Know what I want over all. That is a no. of 20 buttons with rollover titles. this i have done but instead of the mouse down connections to a number of frames
I would like to have them relate to their own Movie Clips

I would appreciate muchos help.

How are you loading the relative movies that you want to view when the user clicks the buttons?
You should use the Load Movie action before you use the Tell Target.

If you already loaded it, you can control the movies depending on the level where you load them. Maybe you can explain your problem better or give us a link so we can see it.

Good luck.
