Hi,

We have a director who we need to setup with a Teleworker softphone using his Apple Mac, obviously Your Assistant is out of the picture so does anyone have any suggestions?

THanks!

Really... do you have any idea of timescale?

Thanks!!

I suggest using a SIP softphone. You will not get the YA functionality but at least you can use the softphone portion.

Thanks. Do you have any recommendations?

Try CounterPath X-Lite. I believe the have a softphone for Windows, Linux, and MAC.

CI = Controlled Introduction. In other words volunteering to be a beta site. It used to be that you had to be recommended by your area TAM (Tech Acct Mgr). We used to participate in CI loads but as the company grew it became too risky to periodically be loading new software on a system with such high visibility.

Not sure where that term comes from. It is refered to as NPI within Mitel, which stands for New Product Introduction.

CI was the term used throughout the entire life cycle of the "SG" and I know for certain it was carried over into the Light platform. If there's a new buzzword for it today then your company (like mine) has spent money to change a term which didn't need to be changed except for the mere sake of change.

In our office we have changed the name of our purchasing department so many times I have no idea what it's called today. For years it was "purchasing" - everyone knew what that meant. Suddenly one day it got changed to "Materials Management" and no one knew what that meant. Then once we figured out it was the purchasing dept. they changed it again to "Procurement" and then a few years later to Supply Logistics. It's still the same old purchasing department, but everyone gets new business cards and the building signage on everyone's office & cubicle gets changed.

NPI, indeed. Pfffffftttt!

It's beta.
