Hi All

Abit of a teleworker newbie so appreciate any help!
Im having intermittent problems with our teleworker users.
Intermittenly getting one way voice.
For example my set, has worked perfectly fine since christmas, then the last couple of weeks all of a sudden I cant hear the caller, this is for both internal and external calls.
This morning all was fine, now im getting 1 way voice.

Nothing has changed on the telewroker server router ....

What could cause this??? Could it be a network issue??

Thanks

James

Yes it will be a network issue.

Undoubtably you are relying on the network gateway to route the packets appropriately and it is not configured properly.

The most common scenario is that the remote set does not receive voice. This is because the return packets are being routed to the wrong internet connection.

It comes down to your gateway. The best design will have the teleworker server as the local gateway for the phone controller. The Teleworker server would be configured to route packets to all the defined local networks and route to the internet if not local.

The most common design has the data gateway controlling the packets. If it is not configured properly, it will route the packets destined for the internet to the data side internet and not to the Teleworker. These packets get lost and voila, 1 way audio. The data gateway must be configured to route all traffic coming from the voice network to the teleworker in this design.
