Does anyone know what "enable LAN mode" in teh Telworker Solution advanced tab does? I have a Teleworker server in my DMZ and am having an issue where internal phones are trying to communicate with it over the external routable IP address of the firewall. This causes problems in my environment and the blurb i can see that describes LAN mode sounds like it might help.

thanks.

not sure lan mode is what you're after. the internal sets (according to documentation) will always try communicate to it via the external address (this is by design - engineering guidelines)

I'm not too sure what lan mode means but all I can think is that it's telling the TW server that the IP bound to it is not in fact a routable internet IP. This is typically in port forward scenarios.

documentation I have don't seem to be to clear on what lan mode is either.

That is by design. The internal phones when communicating with a TW phone wil go tothe internal addres.

Wha's the problem? One way audio? You need to do an inside and outside NAT statement on your firewall

Thanks for you responses.

There is no problem other than I don't want to allow internal traffic out the FW and back into the DMZ. It works, i was just hoping to get around all traffic hitting the external interface of the FW.
