TelePhony Manager troubles

I am new at installing otm and am trying to intall 3.1 on CS 1000 5.0. This a new install of tm 3.1. Kepp getting message when i try to sync of /pty/ptty00.s is not defined in SL! Database. Any ideas what I am doing wrong???

you need to have at least 2 PTY (pseudo TTY) built in switch

ADAN: new tty x (x would be an available device number 0-15)
TTY_Type: PTY
Port: 0 (next PTY port you build make port 1 etc.)
