We have an NEC Electra Elite 192. We recently hired a new supervisor for our call center, and she wanted a "telephone splitter" for training purposes. She said that her previous employer had this, and was only able to describe it as:
Headphones connected to the individual phone, giving the ability to listen to real time phone conversations.
Our NEC phones only have three jacks:
Line in, Headset, and Handset
I'm up for any ideas/suggestions that would give me the same ability.
Thanks,
X

That's the one.
Two headsets, one amp. The H51 is a reliable, comfortable, reasonably priced headset.

I think it would be better to get a monitoring unit like Dee's communications makes and install that on either extension ports or CO ports, giving the supervisor the ability to monitor calls and dial a * to be able to have talk assist capabilities.

I would check with your Vendor or agent and if you can get a Supervior monitoring program with a few bells & whistles it would give stat's on calls handled lost calls etc.
Cheers

My vendor, Ha! I haven't been able to find a local reliable vendor/support as of yet. We have gone through two vendors with the same result. I've been doing all the troubleshooting for my company via the internet and forums. Thanks anyway though!
