Hello,

I have a client that is interested in having the capability to do video/tele-conferencing from one office in Mtl with other offices in Hong Kong. What sort of equipment is needed. Are there standalone units that can connect via ADSL 3MEGS. Do I or should I go through a computer. Compression is a must. I don't need super quality but at least pretty smooth motion. Are there solutions using satelites ?

Thanks

I just spoke to the customer and he is planning on installing online purchase kiosk in major shopping malls in Laval. Now the kiosks will display a large variety of products available. The customer chooses but using the touch screens and selects the products. The order is processed in a central server probably at my clients head office. He also wants a camera system to monitor the kiosks. Again what kind of equipment is needed and what would be the bandwidth required. All the cabling will be done by pros because it's in a shopping mall. Does each location need a T1 line ? ADSL 3 megs ?

What about in the head office. They plan on having at least 15 kiosks by the end of the year and more to add later. Keep in mind every camera is sending live video (very bandwidth consuming) and order info.

What kind of equipement should we use for the kiosks itself ? How about a standard PC with windows installed running or terminal server or dumb graphical terminal. Minimum maintenance is a must.

Thanks
anthony
