Can anyone tell me who Verizon (or other LECs) use for repairing their butt sets and meters? When I was with Verizon the the DC area, I seemed to recall hearing it was Southern Instruments, but I see they're in Florida. There must have been another branch close by, but I don't know what they do now. I have a Sidekick that needs repair. Any good sources?

The original manufacturer is probably who they would use, because they usually provide updates and other changes and improvements made in production that a regular repair house would not perform or even know about unless you are using a metrology lab for service.
