I've got to install some 20 pair cable down some duct work, about 150M,the cable will never see daylight(100% enclosed) I'm not sure if you guy's use the same telco standards as us in the UK(most people on here seem USA based!!) but UK spec. is CW1128 for external use, this is a moisture resistant cable and is jelly filled. I'm just wondering what the life span would be on INTERNAL grade cable(CW1308) used in ducting? The cable is like less than half the price and if it will last 10 years+ would be acceptable. Thoughts and suggestions appeciated........(the ducting would have moisture in it where the man hole covers are)

I would recommend that you use the external grade cable if the ducting is outside purely because the outer sheath of the external cable is a lot tougher than the internal grade also if the cable is damaged by insect, rodent or mechanical reasons any damp penetration would be very limited. If you have to replace the cable because of damage it is likely to cost you much more than using the external grade in the first place as it is more likely to have survived

I would also use the outdoor rated cable. The jell inside is a pain, but youll do the job right the first time, and not have headaches later.....

Another concern is what is the duct used for? Intake air? You may need to be concerned with this if its a air intake, maybe something plenum rated......
