Hello, I am wondering if anyone has ever done this
in the Import utility on Ops I a looking to add
Our Employee's employee number in the "Comment 1" field
Instead of painstakling typing them in every single record
in the directory editor , use the import utility after
match the name to employee number and do it in one operation
Thanks !!

You can do this, however I've found that this causes the Set Type stored in OpsMan to be set to "No Device". If you then pull up the set in MAC, this corrects itself.

The other alternative is to do this directly in MySQL, but this is obviously a bit more risky.

Hi Lundah Thank you for the response !
I have a extra amc license for another Instance of OPS
so I can try it out in a non Impacting enviroment

Have you ever heard of TASMAC. It is an excel based spreadsheet which can be imported into ops just like you would on the 3300 Import Spreadsheet.

I am sure it comes on the same software disk/download as opsman s/w. I know it as Totally Amazing Moves Adds and Changes. I don't think that is exactly right though. I will email a collegue to see if he knows. I can't remember, will let you know.

TASMAC won't work, as the only way you can modify the Comment 1/Comment 2 fields via SchedMAC is by using Templates. This means you'd have to create a template for each user in your case. Trust me, I've been trying to do the exact same thing, we've just been running batch files that update the MySQL database directly.
