I have problem configuring Phaser 740 on my home network. I am running XPpro and have Microsoft MN500 wireless router. My home network works fine and I can share HP laserjet 4 that is connected with parallel cable to my desktop. Now,when I connect the 740 to router and set up any private IP address over the front panel on the printer that is in the range of my router, I can not ping the printer.I used IP address from the printer to create the IP printer port.If I connect the 740 to my NIC via crossover cable and when I set up the static IP to my NIC and appropriate IP address to the printer- everything works fine. So - what am I doing wrong? Any hint would be highly appreciated..
