Teh expression is typed incorrectly, too complex to be evaluated

I created a report based on a parameter query with two parameters. One you have to enter when opening the report from a form (e.g. March 2005), the other parameter is referenced to a combo box selection on the same form. I am testing the database right now and when I look at a report from March and enter March 2005 as parameter there is no problem. Any other month does not work and I get the message: The expression is typed incorrectly, too complex to be evaluated, e.g. numeric expression may contain too many complicated elements...

What is going on? How can I fix? Thanks.
