whenever we take any image from photoshop and try to make a flash presentation it makes file size very heavy.

why it happens ? what is the solution for it ?
 
Drop the image resolution down to 72ppi.

Save the image only at the largest size you want it to display in Flash (without pixelation).

If you're saving as a .gif minimize the palette to as few colours as you can get away with.

If you're saving as a .jpeg select the areas in your image which don't contain much detail or are not important to the whole picture and apply a slight blur (1 pixel is enough) - works great for sucking out that last 2k.

Run it through Fireworks, seems to do a better job of compressing filesizes than Photoshop's "save for web" option (personal opinion).

Turn your image into a symbol once it's within Flash.
