What is the main technical reason AVAYA wants an MAS co-located with an Exchange server and does not support message store over the WAN? Is is just a CYA thing, or is there a major impacting problem?

Thanks folks,

James

It is mostly the speed factor of the MAS pulling the messages as far as i know. Some customers will say they have a great network but when you are pulling voice and it takes a second or 2 to respond you will hear a please wait from the MM. If you are pulling email you do not notice.
