Hi,
I am looking for the techincal-term that is used in the IT Industry for a Diagram that depicts the Data-model of multiple projects running under a department in an organization..that would help to see what information each
Project captures and interfaces with other projects...!

Does anyone know it?

If it shows the interaction of data across processes, it could be called a Data Flow Diagram. Note that a DFD is quite different than an E-R or Star Schema data diagram.

Consolidated Project Plan.

Projects and programmes commonly have sub-programmes and sub-projects. There's no clear difference between a single project and multiple projects. Microsoft Project for example lets you build a consolidated plan out of separate component plans. You can then record the dependencies just like a 'single' plan.

Thanks for all your replies. I think I was not clear enough in communicating what I really wanted.Let me try again.

Lets say we have a Business Unit XYZ. Under XYZ we have many Systems,like... Billing System, Logistics System and many other Systems about which we do not know. Now my question was, is there a way we can have a Diagram/Document that describes each of these Systems as to what they do, what information they capture, what data-feeds they need and what files they spit out for use by other systems etc..So that if I am starting a new Project then I know that so-n-so information is already being captured in so-n-so System and I need not capture here in my new Project but rather I can pull it from the other system. If we can what do we call it!!

I hope I am little more clear!!

A Data-Flow-Diagram is your man, as johnherman says.
