Hey;
In each of my MCs i have a layer with a vo-voice over - on it. In soundforge the vo is nice and clear, but once published in flash it has a tinny, wobbley sound to it. Is there something i should be doing to the vo to maintain quality as the movie is published?
Thanks
Hoss

Is this a MP3?

Are you changing the compression or using the imported compression.

Right-click one of your sounds in the Library, and select properties. Is the compression set at "default"?

Yes and no. Some are in wav, some in mp3. i must say that the ones that made me notice the tinny sound seemed to be in wav at the moment. Now on publishing, i believe wav files are changed into mp3s but would it be better to convert them to mp3 before i publish?

on compression - I right clicked and found it to be set to "default" on wav and set to 'mp3' on mp3 files. I have not changed compression so i am assuming i'm using the compression settings the vo files came in on.

Also i saw a "speech" setting. Should i be using that setting since the vo, while it has sound effects like a storm, also contains a lot of speaking?

You know, oldnewbie - i was so damn close to having all the issues resolved in this movie! Now this and the geturl thing!
Anyway as always thanks

Hoss

What about Publish Settings? Would you possibly be overriding the compression there?
Can you post a link to a mockup .fla (zipped up and in MX only format), holding one of your .wav & mp3?
