Good Afternoon,
Trying to diagnose an issue with a Toshiba TEC FS3700 POS system.
Until recently everything worked fine. All of the sudden the POS terminal no longer communicates with the PC that runs the credit card and gift card servers. When attempting to perform either type of transaction the POS terminal indicates it can not find a server.
The connection between is via a standard network cable using the IPX protocol. Using a port sniffer and the information (limited) available on the POS terminal it would appear that the failure is happening with the initial handshake. The terminal is saying hello to the PC but there is either nothing being sent back or the POS terminal is not listening to it. I have installed the server software onto another computer and the same thing is happening.
If anyone out there could offer any suggestions, I certainly would appreciate it.
Cheers!
Eric
