TEC ACF Warning

Hi All,

I have tec 3.8 installed on a win2k server and have made a Tec Adapter that works fine,

today for the first time in ages I tried to edit this Tec Adapter but it comes up with this ACF Warning:

(The requested record is currently locked by Tivoli.admin, it will therefore be available for viewing only)

once i have pressed "dismiss" another error comes up:

(FRWTT0003E An Instance named " tecad_win" of resource "ACPdefaults" was not found)

I have check that it is not in a locked state by going into (edit, unlock entries)

I have noticed when trying to edit this record that it has a picture of an EYE at the begining,

I have also stoped the Tecadwins.exe process and the acp.exe process, to try and edit it again but no luck.

does anyone have any idea's !!!!!!!! of how to edit this profile or troubleshoot...

Sounds like an orphaned Tivoli process. The eye symbol means that the profile is already being looked at or being edited. In this instance it is not the actual file that is being locked, but the instance of the ACP attribute in the Tivoli object database that is locked.

I've seen this happen if a profile is being edited and someone exits Tivoli in an ungraceful manner.

I suggest bouncing the TEC server process.
