TEC 3.8+wdbinstall.sh

Hi all!

I must upgrade eventdatabase TEC 3.7.1 to 3.8. I found the DB Assistant CD and I run the wdbinstall script.

I have only one question: What is Application Profile Name & Role Name?

The DB Assistant give default values for it(tec_profile respectively tec_app)

should I let them default? Learning is the secret!

It probably is too late to answer your question. But, I believe that is for the database space allocation and usage. Depends on how many users or usage you have, you need to allocated enough space for TEC to storage the events.

In addition to what aofan said, normally you have to increase the size to be allocated to the tec database. By default its only 50 mb. I had encountered some problems before due to the limited space. I notrmally change it to 4096 mb. Especially when u integrate it with Netview which sends tons and tons of events.
