Teams Direct Routing-calls failing fix. 5

For anybody who tried Direct Routing when it first came out, you will know that it didn't work properly with the sip/sip2/sip3 MS FQDNs and the sip-all FQDN had to be added.

For anybody who has done this in the last few months, you might not know that adding the sip-all FQDN was a workaround.

Avaya have now releaed a fix for this in 8.1.3.1 HF1, where the MS IP ranges can be added.

I've not tried it yet, but will be soon as I've been waiting since December for this!!!! :)

Amazing! Now if only they put this patch out for ASBCE 10.1....

@bfg9k, what has your experience been with integration with avaya? are you forking the call on the sbc to the teams client and the physical avaya handset for simring?

How hard is that from a config standpoint?
 
@AvayaRed, it has been like pulling teeth. We were told that the SBC will get Teams integration but we weren't given any integration guides as to how to actually set it up. When we finally did get an integration guide, it was missing info, some parts were just plain incorrect and many features did not work as described. We did eventually get it working but it was such a hassle that we went and tried out an Audiocodes SBC instead, which has actually been pretty good (we can even do Remote Workers through it).

I'll apply these new patches and see if it's any better now.

Yeah, was nice of Avaya to give us so much time to get the new software onto ours customer SBCs to keep this working!

Luckily for me, I only had 2 to sort! Tested the 8.1 fix on ours last week, and did the other one last night.
