Teaming NICS On Compaq Server

I would like to team the nics on a compaq server, I need to know how to do this. There is a onbroad nic, and two other nics, these are the ones that need to be teamed.

Well you can do it with Solaris so I guess you could always install 'free solaris' and do it that way. See and .

I'm not too sure on how far development has got for Linux. There is certainly something there. However, there is also some confusion because there are two types of 'trunking' out there. The one you mean and the IEEE 802.1q VLAN trunking protocol which is almost the opposite - running multiple VLANs over one link. (If you are interested in the this see )

If in doubt, why not have a look at the latest source code, i.e. /usr/src/linux/drivers/net/bonding.c
