We use a Compaq ML570 server with a NC3131 Fast ethernet NIC with 4 ports using Adaptive load balancing and balanced on the MAC adress over our network.
Trouble is our network team have been sniffing the packets out of it and the MAC address it's broadcasting is different by one field to the one set, i.e it's set with xx-bf-xx-xx-xx-xx and it broadcasts with xx-01-xx-xx-xx-xx which according the network team floods the network. Any reason why or how we go about resolving this or if indeed this how it's supposed to work...
cheers,
Steve
