Team Developer inbuilt functions like SybExecuteProc not working

We have an SQL Windows application interacting with Sybase database.While executing the app,when the control comes to the statement for executing the functions like SybExecuteProc (which can be used to execute stored procs in Sybase system 10 and 11 or SQL stmts)the execution is stopping abruptly.

Has anybody faced this before?

It would be really helpful if someone could help us out asap.
