TE1 or TE2 1

Is a cisco serial port TE1 or TE2?

I would have thought that it would be TE2 as it needs to be plugged into a TA and that only a BRI interface would be TE1.

It's difficult to learn about this as everyone is mostly migrating to DSL now.

i agree with your answer. TE1 is the standard ISDN term for a native analog telephone. Cisco serial port is not TE1.
