Hi,

We have a site to upgrade from BC8 to BC12. it has 4 LIMS, 1 on the main site and three seperate remote sites.

The remote sites all use very old multiplexers. For some reason when we try to reload the system from the NIU2 with BC12 software two of the LIMs do not load, they see the GSM and the LPU display registers to 70, but they go no further. Lim1 and Lim3 load perfectly.

We put BC8 disk and LPU back in and the load perfectly....

Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Old problem FR 105834.
What SP are you using? This fault report is released in
sp8.
Install new GJUL4 board in LIM=2&4 and is should be OK.

Problem occurs, when exchange backup is prepared in environment with long inter Lim signals (90 Bytes) and loaded into systems with short inter Lim signal (43 Bytes).
Backup prepared in lab with new GJUL4 boards will generate this problem, as the signalling capability "long" is stored on the backup.

Lim's equipped with old GJUL4 boards type ROF 131 4246/7 at the target system will not load. (LPU display stops at 70, 71).

We've just checked and the L-boards are the latest... not like the ones described above.

I think maybe the multiplexers cannot handle the longer packet length? Although, LIM3 goes through the same multiplexer and that works (
