Hi Guys,
Apologies if this has been asked before, but I've got a customer who has around 500 TDM supersets on Peripheral cabinets connected to a 3300 running MCD 4.2. They want to convert all of these to IP devices over a period of time, which would have been easy with Ops Man, but is now a long winded process whereby I have to make a note of everything, delete it and rebuild. I thought perhaps the Mitel Config wizard might speed things up, but no.
I know theres some clever people on this forum, any ideas?

The good news is that on a 3300 controller it is possible to use the export forms tool
once exported you will be able to gather all the info you need and then use the import tool to put it back this is especially usefull if you are bulk moving users
Make sure you export the the
user form
User and Device Attributes (hunt group and pickup group info)
DNIC form
Multiline key form
Station service form
Like wise if you have ACD you will need to export the appropriate forms.

However if you are planning to do one at a time as you say this is going to be time consuming gathering te info then deleting the extn and finally re provisioning it.

Thanks Supernova99. You're right, exports and imports are probably the best way to go. They want to do it department by department outside normal working hours, so it might be long winded but it's a good overtime generator :)

Used the software installer to do a migration from a SX2000 to a 3300 recently and it worked a treat.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
