Hi,

I have the following setup. In our department we have a helpdesk position that handles our main number 560. It is a digital Panasonic phone KX-DT34x. Anyway, all other office in this departments have the helpdesk number 560 on their Panasonic phone on a flexible button key as SDN. If some rings the main number 560 on all the other departments phone the sdn key will flash and after two rings all the phone will ring, too. If the helpdesk guy is not available other people can easily pick up the number 560. This works great, however if we get DID calls from our PRI or SIP trunk to the helpdesk phone 560 all the sdn on the other department phones will not flash. Does anyone know why the SDN is nor working from calls that comes from a trunk?

Thanks

Norbert

normaly an DID numer goes to an group ( example group 560)
in that group u can difine members whit whenn to ring ( up to delayed after 6x ring)

so after (example) 2x ring u can set other extensions to ring also
if u make line buttons or group co or so they will flash whenn ring

u can also make members to the group whitout letting it ring , so the button will flash and can be picked up by pressing the button.

normaly if an extension rings and others got extension 560 in there flex key they pickup that call, unless programmed difrently (COS / Pickup call ect)
but not standaart ring after 2x, so im guessing its an group or forward.

maybe the number 560 got an internal forward to someting ( but not external)?

Thanks for the reply. I was considering a group, however I was thinking it should work with the flex key, too. I was just wondering why the flex key on my phone that has a sdn of number 560 is not flashing when 560 is receiving a DID call. The flex key is working when 560 is receiving intercom calls, but not calls from co-lines. Do you have a clue what could be wrong? When a DID to 560 happens, the phone 560 rings, but no flashing of the flex key on other phones that have 560 as sdn. Thanks for advice.
