Hi All

I have an TDE with IP phones that has been working without issue for years. The customer has recently replaced their switches and since then periodically the IP phones develop one way speech, a reboot of the system resolves the issue for a while but then it comes back. Any suggestions welcome

thanks

Are these phones local or remote?
Regardless, what the problem probably is is an IP conflict. I've had it happen at a site before where the DHCP server handed out mp VOIP DSP ip address to a device, and for some reason the pbx didn't respond to the arp. So then packets getting sent to my DSP address were going to this other device, and packets coming from my DSP address were getting to their destination. Is this the way that your one way audio is working?
Figure out if this is the issue by turning your pbx off. Clear the arp table on your pc Now try pinging your voip dsp address. If you get a response, and your pbx is off, there's obviously a conflict. If you don't get a response, look at your arp table, and see if you have an entry for your voip dsp address, and the mac address is not the voip dsp mac address of your pbx. The mac address will also let you hunt down the device.
Though, likely if the ip address was pulled from dhcp, you will just need to edit the DHCP scope to make explicit exclusions for the pbx, reboot all network infrastructure.
