TDE - DID to multiple sets, then to mailbox

What would be the best way to have a DID over PRI ring on multiple sets, then have that DID go to a specific mailbox for one of those sets. In this scenario a user has his primary DID, plus a secondary DID that he gives out for select people (wife, kids etc). They also ring on his assistant's set and ideally on his iPhone softphone when he's out of the office, simultaneously. I've tried a Group DN but I can't get it to ring to the user's primary mailbox. Thanks.

1) Point the DID to the ring group & overflow to the vmail DN.

2) Add a "DID Mode" entry in the TVM under Service Settings>CallerID/DID/PIN Call Routing for the particular DID that points to the correct mailbox.

I did try that, thanks. What happens in that case is the call follows DID routing if the call is pointed directly to the VMail DN, but does not follow the DID routing if the call overflows from an ICD group.

Right, you may have to create an entry for the Ring Group DN in that case.

if I get this right,the 2 did's are going to 2 places, if so it is always hard to get a call pointed to two different places, his did to extension and a second one to a group in to one mailbox. the best way is to have a message waiting button on both phones for the group mailbox.
other one is transfer messages from group mailbox to his, but shortest time is 10 min before transfer.
