does the TDA50 have a reception like function?

Example ) Call comes into a PVT line intended for just x101. On x101 it rings a Flex Button labeled PVT. When that line rings, x101's receptionist phone also rings ( x100 ) on a Flex Button labeled Boss PVT?

I know I can assign the CO line on only x101 and x100 but then I have to have the 10.2 Distribution Method go to an ICD group so that x100's phone audible rings.

I also want it to go to x101's voicemail not the ICD Group voicemail.

Thanks,

the best way is have the line dil1:1 ring the 101 extension, set intercept on 101 to ring the icd group either straight away or after a preset time, with both extensions in it set to immediately then have the group overflow to voicemai. this will put the cal in to 101 mailbox.

other than that have the call go to icd group with message waiting lamp on x101

obtsystems,

Unfortunately the first method is not exactly what I want as it will create an instance where if you intercom the boss, then that will also send the employee to the ICD Group as well. I wanted just outbound calls.

The second method is more logical, however by default, the boss will not be able to intercom 500 to access ICD Group 601's VM box. Can I get that behavior programmed?

Also, I learned this following method:

Set ICD Overflow to 500
Inside TVA50, create ICD VM 601
ICD VM 601's personal custom service, set key 9 to Transfer to specified VM with a value of 101.
Run Utility >> Command
Enter optn 10,1
Record 1 second of dead air for no answer greeting at ICD Group 601

This sets the whole voicemail system so that if a Personal Custom Service has something set at Key 9, it will automatically dish it to that key sequence.

So when a call comes into the system, it'll call ICD Group 601, ring x101 and x100 phones, then go to ICD 601 VM which sends caller to x109 VM.

I am also told there is a way to do it in Day Control so that the command doesnt have to be entered in but I have not gotten that part to work yet.

I am also still looking for more easier ways that do not involve redirection; more simpler.

He can have a message lamp on a button for the extension 101 which he presses if lit to access the mailbox 101

I am confused, in which scenario are you referencing?

in mine, he wouldn't as the message makes it to his ( x101 ) voicemail so the standard message lamp will be lit and so will the Message button be enabled.

I am getting mixed up myself.

how about busy/no answer fwd external only to group with intercept no answer to voicemail on group
