Hi everyone

Some body can give me the step by step procedure to install & configure an automated attendant on a TVM50 connected to TDA30.
I read the docs but got 3 pbs:
- the recordings of prompts don't work, when I try to connect between the TVM and the extension where I want to record it say's "connetion failed".
- I need to ring a group when caller dial 1 and another group when dial 2, but in the menu we have no group, you can only put extensions, VM, operator, back to menu... but no groups.
- How can we creat sub-menus in a menu of the AA.

Thanks a lot

Best regards

Groups and extensions are the same thing in the aa

It is to long a procedure to give step by step instructions on a forum
We don't know if you have the integration of the vm to the pbx done
Do you have software for the system and the vm

I do have software for the system and the vm is not installed yet. it's the same problem, I don't know how to do it and the manuels are not that clear, specially because they give the method for TDA 200 for exemple and you have to guess how to do for TDA30??

the basic programming is the same on the tda systems, just larger

The problem is that here we do not have factory Panasonic technician, I'm more use to Ericsson, LG, & alcatel, this system was bring here by the customer from France, there's no panasonic dealer in our country.
But It's ok I didn't see the help in the software, and I have to say that it's so clear that everyone can install a panasonic system.

So it's ok, thanks to you both.

I do a number of systems, siemens, lg,nec. they are basicly all the same, just different terms. thats the slow bit when doing a new system.

If you have any direct questions about any setup come back and ask. I am sure you under stand we can't realy answer step by step install as every install is different, and we get a lot of non telephone techs who should not touch house phone let alone a system/voicemail :)

OK

I have installed and programed everything, but I still have 2 pbs:
- My client have DHLC4 only on his system no DLC4, I can connect to the TVM (since I can call the VM floating number and hear the TVM response) but I don't know if I connect through one or two ports, does it work as goog as we use DLC4? do we have 2 ports by jack too?

-Since we have 2 ports by jack, I didn't understand what to put in the parameter "DPT Type—VM Port No." do you have example?

- For the cabling is it the same with DHLC4 & DLC4 or is it different ??

Thanks inadvance

Regards

The dhlc has 4 digital an 4 slt's
You use the outer pair (pins 3/6) on the system and connect to port 1 on vm on same pair. You use only 1 digital port
Then right click on the dhlc card on the system in slots and go to property's Take the port ous and make it vm port unit 1 port 1. Apply and put into service. The vm run light will stop flashing. Make sure you have the vm set to dpits

Thank you obtsystems

"Make sure you have the vm set to dpits " What does it mean please?

When you say "You use only 1 digital port" it means that we'll have one simultaneous communication only, if I want to have a second one, do I need to have either a second optional board on the TVM since we can only use odd ports or Change the DHLC by a DLC, am I right?

It you have not changed any thing ov vm use utility and auto config
Only use 1 digital port as it has dxdp and it will vine you 2 channels

Ok I didn't understand what's dpits, but I've run auto config and didn't change anything.

I will try this on sunday and see.

Thanks again

It's ok the AA finaly works on TVM50 now, and I'm very happy thanks to everyone.

-Can we parameter the VPS to reroute the caller to an extension, VM, operator or anywhere else when the extension called does not answer??
In other system we call this reroute position, is there anything like it on the vps.
- Is it possible to have music on hold from the VPS to avoid the one on TDA or not??

Regards

Here are a couple of ideas:

FXD Change your transfer sequence to FXD That sends the call out and it will return by Intercept or CF-No answer

Set CF-No Answer at each phone. Now you don't have to guess about intercept and you can control the forwarding time at each set with the *713xx command. I use N/A instead of Busy/NA so that you have time to interecept a waiting call.

Get a real music source for the TDA and you won't have to worry.
