Working on a TDA30 that was previously installed by someone else. Not that clued up on Panasonic systems but trying to do someone a favour.

Currently the system is set up so that you dial 9 for an outside line. However, when you dial 9 the system connects to "line002" and only "line002" which is a problem when that line is busy.

Originally there were only 2 analogue lines connected to the system but two more have now been added. What I'm trying to do now is have it so that when someone dials 9 they are connected to the first available line out of 3 of the lines, and only if they are all busy it should fall over to the remaining line. The problem is that in the maintenance console, I can't find where the settings that control what line(s) get selected when you dial 9. I have looked in the programming manual but can't seem to find anything on this subject. I can work out assigning 3 lines to one trunk group and 1 line to a different trunk group, just not sure how to then make proper use of those groups!

Also, line002 is what shows in the phone display when you press 9. Is that the built-in default description of CO line number 2 or is that a label that has been manually configured?

Thanks in advance for any help/info!

default discription and cant be changed
look at what trunk group the other lines are in and make them the same as line 2

Assign the Lines Trunk Group(TG)numbers in program No 10.1 i.e 10.CO & Incoming Call > 1.CO Line Settings.

Then go to Line Access Priority in program No 3.1.2 i.e
3.Group > 1.Trunk Group > 2.Local Access Priority

In priority 1, chose the Trunk Group Number of the line you want to use as priority 1 under Trunk Group & Name.

Proceed with the next in you order of preference

Thanks both for the replies.

Otoni54, thanks for the detailed response, I haven't had a chance to try it yet but makes perfect sense and sounds like it's the solution I'm after.
