Hi everybody

I need to connect a TDA30 to an Alcatel OXO through a LAN Network, but the panasonic docs speaks only about TDA30 connected to panasonic pbx, they do not give any info about how to connect it to other brands.
Some parameters do not exist in other brand pbxs, like "own pbx number" for example.
Do we have to omit this parameter or do we have to put it, and do not worry about in the OXO parameters.

What I have on the TDA is TDA3480 and want to dial directly the oxo extensions from the Tda not pass through the own pbx number. in this case what is the role of the own pbx number???

Thanks to all in advance

I cant see the gateway card working with any other system.
the tda30 is now end of life, so you may need a tde/ncp with E&M card or pri interface using qsig to work

You mean there is no way to make the TDA coonected to another system???
I remember that I asked about the possibility in one thread (thread936-1693451) and you didn't say it was not possible, you also said " but you will only have ext to ext dialing from the tda to alcatel".

I understood that it was possible, am I that bad in english !!!

It looks like it works!!!

I can do calls from the TDA to the Alcatel, the quality of communication is perfect.
I still have only one problem: when I call from the Alcatel to the TDA The call arrive to the TDA (I can hear the relay inside the TDA working) but the extension called does not ring.
I programmed the hunt pattern on the gateway card, and the trunk group in the pbx.

Somebody got an idea please??

regards

Yes, if you read the post I said through the sip card not the gateway card. But if it works that's great.
If it is clicking on the system that is a slt ringing. Do you have a slt on the system connected. Have you got a gateway card or a sip trunk card?

I have a gateway card KX-TDA3480, not a sip card.

Yes I was calling a slt phone that's why it was clicking on the system, but why it doesn't ring on the phone? The call doesn't arrive to the extension because when I pick up the handset it's in idle state.
Have I missed something on the receiving parameter, I have programmed the hunt pattern on the gateway, it seems to be the only thing to do on the receiving side. Looks like the system doesn't know where to route the call when it receive it.
I don't think the problem is on the alacatel since the call arrived to the TDA.

did you check all 4 slt's on the system to see which rings. Have you called that phone from another to see if it is working.
do you have the dhlc 4 card for the slt, if so are they set to xdp on or off.

Yes it ring when we call from another slt.
It is not on the DHLC4 but on a slt card, all the phones don't ring digital or analog.

Do somebody know what are all the parameters to check for incoming calls, even if the TDA is connected to another TDA, forget about Alcatel, I imagine it's gonna be the same.

Because the only one I know is the hunt pattern on the gateway card, and I did it.

It's OK guys
the connection works in both sides, the problem was on the own pbx number.
When we use the extension methode that field must be leaved empty.
Now it's OK the connection is perfect.

hey, it is good to know it works with other systemms. what card is in the alacatel?

No the Alcatel is native IP it supports VOIP without any card from R8 version.
It's just VOIP license to add.

Before R8 you should add a VOIP daughter bord on the CPU, plus licenses!!.

Yes it's great that works, you're definetly right, because you made me really fear when you said it doesn't work, the gateway card is so expensive.

sorry about putting doubht in your head... makes me think what else will connect to gateway card.
is the programming much different than the panasonic.

the Panasonic NCP is the same all licences once you have the DSP card installed

No I've followed exactly the same programming as shown in the exemple of the "getting started" document delivered with the gateway card between TDA30 & TDA100 (Chicago & Los Angeles).
In this document it's not mentionned that when you use the extension numbering method, you have to leave empty the parameter "own pbx number" in the private network menu, I found it in another document, may be programming manuel or something like that.

yes, i have never used own pbx method, when using that you have to add that number to the extension number

Hi Ghoulam,

As you done it, I need to connect a TDA100D to an Alcatel OXO through a LAN Network. I have docs for panasonic (16-channel IP-gw16 kx-tda0490 programming guide & getting started) but not for OXO. Could you please give me the parameters you entered on the OXO (the config. lines steps) that make your system ok?

Thanks !
