Anyone ever connected to a TDA fine, but when they try to open any menu item (ie Slot) they get a checksum error and then get disconnected?? And if so, anyone know what causes this problem??

Never Happened to me, is it possible that you are using an old Software version.

Nope been through all that. Tried 7 different laptops too. Even tried swapping a different MPR into the system

Yep tried that too. Same thing happens..Only thing I've been able to do is pull the SD card and open the DSYS file. Write directly to that and then put it back in the MPR and reset the system.. Pretty dodgey way of doing things but on a Saturday cut over, it was the only option I had cos the business was opening on Sunday and needed phones...

I use the Oz version too and haven't had a problem
I think that if you can write to the SD card then the problem would be that the USB drivers are not installed correctly

USB drivers are fine. I can connect to every other TDA I've worked on. None of them have problems. I can even put the suspect MPR into another box and connect to that with no problem

Yep can connect via modem, but I still get the same problem where when ever I go into a menu item, I get a checksum error. In any case as the system was sitting in the store room too long work can't send it back to panasonic as a DOA. I think i've got the most expensive door stop in the office....

although the mpr software runs the main board there at least 12 other software programs on the sd card any one of which can give a chksum error I would wipe the sd card completely and reinstall all software (I have had to do this before) before thinking its a door stop…software on disk… 1. 1- YOU WILL have TO CREAT A FOLDER OF 4 LEVELS DEEP AS BELOW.....PRIVATE\MEIGROUP\PCC\PBX
2- Load necessary data to the PBX FOLDER
i fell into that trap once before

I was hoping this would work as it seemed to be the one thing I hadn't tried. But to no avail. Still crapped out on me. Tested the SD card on another system and it worked fine. Almost kicked it today....

Sounds like you have a crook unit, send it back to Panasonic
