I am working on a TDA100 and TVS320. The customer wants to eliminate the two rings that a caller hears before the custom service prompt answers. I cant find any setting that can accomplish this, any help would be appreciated.

some of the tvs 50 had that 2 ring delay that could not be changed, maybe the 320 is the same.
If you look at port services/settings, if delay answer is 0 then there is nothing you can do.
Are you using dpits intergration?

I'm not sure about the integration. I've only serviced these types of systems, never installed one.

What does integration have to do with it? When you dial 500 (165) does the VM pick up immedately or is there a one ring delay?

Now, from outside, CID will delay for one ring unless you turn it off. Watch your LED's on a incoming call. A CID trunk will light solid red, then start blinking at the second ring when the call is available to be answered.

because if using slt ports, it will delay the answer, if using dpits, it will answer straight away.
