There is a procedure in the manual clearly describing a forced connection to the switch. Please refer to the section describing the CPU card and the rotary switch settings.
NOTE: System switch is ALWAYS set to ZERO, no exceptions.
NOTE: Mode switch can reset all parameters to factory defaults, don't randomly play with it - you'll likely blow away the whole database.
Be careful.
