After clearing a TD1232, with no equipment changes, we could not get the system to accept E1 or E2 in the Slot 1 area in System Programming (#109, with power cycle). Our only solution was to move the TD170 up to Slot 2 and move on. Any suggestions as to why programming would not store the assignment of Slot 1? It's been a long time...

From The manual

KX-TD1232
• Master / Slave
• Areas 1; 2; 3 = C / S2 / S6 / BD / MD / EM / E1 / E2 / A1 / A2
(C: 4-CO lines / S2: 2-ISDN lines / S6: 6-ISDN lines /
BD, MD, EM: no use / E, E1: 8-Extension lines 1 /
E2: 8-Extension lines 2 / A, A1, A2: 16-SLT lines)
Default KX-TD816: C;E
KX-TD1232: Master and Slave – C;E1;E2

Thanks. We had the manual information as above, but, we were unable to store the Area 1 setting as anything other than the default C;E1;E2. As earlier stated, our only solution was to move the TD170 up to Slot 2 and, with the default C;E1;E2, complete the setup.
