TD, BACKGROUND IMAGE, IE on a Mac, Help!

Ok, this one is killing me:

Look at this on a Mac with IE:

I've been to some other forums. In one I found that IE for Mac is stricter on HTML. It recommended using CSS BACKGROUND-IMAGE. Well I tried that, but then no background image at all showed up on my PC.

I'm using a background image in the middle row of the table so it will strectch with the content. It works just fine on a PC. It is difficult for me to troubleshoot and test because I don't have a Mac handy to use.

Does anyone know of a solution to this? What am I missing?
