TD-816 Fax capability

Configuration is 4 CO & 5 stations. I wish to use a fax at a jack but maintain CO line for rest of system. Previous maintenance on system in other building was Panasonic Eas-Phone that required me to use Viking fax/voice switch in series on incoming CO , then to system CO port. Would the same be recommended here? The TD-816 does NOt have the fax/DISA option...

It"s one way or some fax machine have the buildin switcher.If you are you a Panasonic Voicemail that another way.

A solution to this is to DIL 1:1 the incoming Fax Line to the Jack associated with the Fax(ie:Fax as an Extn )
and place this CO in a trunk group by its self
This way you can use the Fax line as an outgoing line for all of the system , just have its Truck group as the last choice to keep it as free as possible for Incoming Fax
I have used this config lots of times and it works quite well in a SOHO situation.
