Go tcalled to a customers motel yesterday with an issue with a coupl eof extensions not being able to dial out to a CO . At first I thought that the extension may be locked, so I checked the remote station lock from th emain phone and made sur ethe extension was unlocked, even tried a station feature clear, still no luck. I can dial the line access and get outside dial tone but then cannot break dial tone after that, The strange thing is if I hit redial, the call will dial out.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

test all trunks with butt set sounds like there might be a dial pulse/rotary line in the mix....

Both the CO's are DTMF. It is odd that onlt 2 extensions are playing up. If I dial the CO access (1) I get CO tone ( I can tell cos it has interupted dial tone from th eexchange with the messaging service) after that I cannot break tone with DTMF input from the keypad. If I use the redial button on the phone ( the complete DTMF string goes out in one hit) the call goes thru to its estination. I have checked the digit timers , but as I said it is only affecting 2 extensions.

if there is stutter dial tone on the line and and there are bunch of messages on there and a guest trys to dial out on that and theres stutter it can cause misfires and wierdness

listen across that ext with buttset in monitor whilst dialing what do you hear? did you swap phones with a working room did the problem move this is a real basic stuff

got a digit grabber ? do you have spare ports on the system

Just for an update,
Went back to site today and swapped out the 16SLT card and now all is good
