Have a SOHO small network running mainly Win2K.

System used to run Win Me successfully with internet sharing. Win2K was loaded clean on two machines. Have not been able to get the TCP/IP network working so naturally Internet sharing doesn't work.

Any attempt to ping between machines returns "request timed out". Same with local loopback test on one machine. Both machines also have Linux on a dual boot arrangement. Running Linux on both machines pings no problems.

Have loaded and unlodaed Win2K several times (with formatting) and still no go.

Are all your clients on the same subnet ?

Check the IP addresses and subnet masks.

Internet connection sharing sets your IP address to use 192.168.0.1 if I remember correctly.

Also check your default gateway setting if set.

Cheers

I had the same problem with one of my pc's that had linux
I would have to not just reboot but shutdown and then startup in win2k.. something to do with the linux not releasing the card unless power is turned off ...

good luck let me know if it helped
