Hi,

Can anyone recommend some software I could run on a pc (vista) that would run for the duration of a day and then give me a report at the end that would specify the network useage , and break it down by protocol in a report format?

Many thanks,
W

check out wireshark and see if thats what your looking for. just google it. free.

check out snapfiles.com and look for network monitoring tools...

Network Miner is an amazing tool. It breaks it down for you so there is no need to hurt your eyes making filters in ethereal. But you still do need Ethereal (Wireshark) installed for Network Miner to work. Not sure why thought? :(

Does it not come with some files needed like winpcap? interesting. Thanks for the tool I'll look it up.
