TCP/IP Stack Overflow? Buffer Overflow?

Hello,
Ever since I've installed IE6.0 I have been having problems with my tcpip. I can't remember which program, but it told me I am getting tcpip stack overflows or possibly tcpip buffer overflows. Does anyone have any idea what would modify this or how I can fix it?

I did a diagnostic on my network card and it checks out fine.

The symptoms are this: after loading several pages in my browser, no other web page will load, it gives a "cannot find page" error, or it loads with all empty boxes and frames-- because apparently all of my tcpip available "threads" are used up. Nothing fixes the problem but a reboot.

Any suggestions? I'm running Windows 98 SE.

Thanks Much.

For W98 .
You can do this by selecting Start > Run, and type msconfig in the
Open: box. Press OK. Select the System.ini tab, scroll down to, and
select the [386Enh] section. Press New and type the command MinSPs=8,
press Apply, and follow the prompts.

If the problem persists, increase the number of spare stack pages in
increments of 4 (for example 12, 16).

Note: Each spare stack page requires 4KB of memory .
