hi everyone!

i'm just wondering if somebody knew where and how to catch data from TCP/IP? is there a particular port for this?

our network is 100% TCP/IP, our concern was to catch data (streams/packet) in AIX box.

intially, we were able to catch up all data using x.25. does this mean, we can use the said program to catch up data for tcp/ip?

i would be very thankful for any insights that you might contribute.

Not sure I understand your question? ....but the /etc/services file has the listing of what ports each command listens on? I imagine if you are transferring data you
would use either ftp or telnet?

Maybe it will assist you?
netstat 15/tcp
ftp-data 20/tcp
ftp 21/tcp
telnet 23/tcp
smtp 25/tcp mail
