I have WIN98SE, I changed my MoBo + CPU (from PIII to AMD XP) and I lost Internet connection. I reinstalled my system, I can ping adresses, my modem is working, but telnet and ftp is dead.

When trying receive of mails (Outlook 6.0) it shut downs with this error...
MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in

The same is with each soft using internet connection - Explorer, Opera..., they are forced to shut down...
I reinstalled also TCP/IP - no positive effect...
Any advice what to do?

Thanx

Try re-installing the os. Don't f-disk, just to a re-install over the top. I've fixed many a 98 machine this way. (Always do a backup first though, just in case.) Glen A. Johnson
