TCP IP kings. What happens when you click on a link on a web page?

Does anyone understand what happens when you click on a link on a web page using say for instance IE6.

Could you explain including layers, DNS, routers and protocols.

the link would have to be sent through a DNS to obtain the ip address then route to its destination. for specifics someone else would have to explain. Jeter@LasVegas.com
