When I try to install my ATT Connection 8.2 software on Windows XP, I get this message:
The TCP/IP networking component is required but not installed on your computer. Please upgrade your computer and try again.
Mcafee and ATT tech support blame each other for the problem and have not helped in resolving the problem. The Firewall seems to be the scapegoat for ATT and the att ver 8.2 software the culprit for Mcafee.
Can someone figure out the reason for the software not getting installed?
Thank you for any help rendered regarding the issue.

The culprit as the message states is:
[red]The TCP/IP networking component is required but not installed on your computer.[/red]

Go into Control Panel-> Network, and check to see that TCP/IP is installed in there, if it isn't click on Add Protocol, find TCP/IP and click intall, You may need your Win98CD or intallation CAB files.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.
