Hey Folks,
Im running a mixed win2k/NT4/MAC(dave) network (7 machines total).
My main win2k workstation's TCP/IP goes down daily. (Cannot ping or be pinged by IP or name) Almost always happens when i restart, and sometimes if explorer crashes - the only way to get it back up is to uninstall & reinstall TCP/IP.
It can connect (using NetBEUI i assume) to the other workstations just fine after TCP/IP goes down, but the Mac and one of my print servers require TCP/IP.
Im using manual IP config, no dedicated servers, (file and printer sharing, TCP/IP, NetBEUI), behind a linksys router - DHCP diabled.
The Mac is running DAVE, which relys on TCP/IP, but has had no problems with any of the other machines - so Im pretty sure this isn't the culprit.
I have tried switching network cards with no luck, but Im trying to avoid reinstalling windows right now...
Any Ideas?
Desperatly yours,
Fig
